"The more I give myself permission to live in the moment and enjoy it without feeling guilty or judgmental about any other times, the better I feel about the quality of my life."
Services
Psychotherapy is a commitment to being your best self; to prepare your emotions and thought processes to handle the future with confidence and the full realization of your potential. Sometimes reaching that full and bright prospect requires retrieving and dealing with issues of the past, no matter how long ago life's challenges were a part of your life. For this reason, I work with individuals and couples of a wide age range.
Below is a quick list of the parameters I use in determining how best to help you:

Therapy Approach
Therapy services you may experience:
Guided Imagery
In Guided Imagery, you will practice well-being in every aspect of your body. You will control your breathing, relax your muscles and use your own thinking and visualization skills to enter a state of deep relaxation, success and wholeness. Guided Imagery is similar to meditation, but you will take this journey with your trusted counselor.
Psychodynamic Therapy
This is Lesley's primary approach to counseling. Less intensive than classical psychoanalysis, psychodynamic therapy usually consists of a weekly commitment of self-exploration and actualization. Within this realm of thinking, we work towards understanding internal and often subconscious conflicts that lead to dysfunctional life choices. As you revisit past experiences in a safe, non-judgmental environment, you can reprogram self-talk and responses to negative stimuli for a healthier emotional approach to life.
Cognitive Behavorial Therapy
This is a psychotherapeutic approach to wellness that focuses on improving dysfunctional emotions, behaviors and thought processes through a goal-oriented, systematic approach. With CBT you will consciously remove negative emotional symptoms in your life.
